Data Science Course in Hyderabad: Syllabus, Fees and How to Choose (2026 Guide)

What a good Data Science course in Hyderabad should cover, what it costs, and a 7-point checklist to compare institutes before you enrol.

Choosing a Data Science course in Hyderabad is a big decision: it takes months of your time and a real fee. This guide explains what a good course should cover, how fees and formats compare, and a simple checklist you can use to compare any institute — including us.

Who a Data Science course is for

A Data Science course is a good fit if you enjoy working with numbers, want to solve business problems with data, and are willing to practise coding regularly. It suits:

  • Engineering, science, commerce and management graduates
  • Freshers who want a first job in data
  • Working professionals (IT or non-IT) planning a career switch
  • Analysts who already use Excel or SQL and want to move into machine learning

You don't need to be a programmer before you start — a good course teaches Python from the basics. What you do need is consistency: an hour or two of practice on most days makes a bigger difference than anything else.

What the syllabus should cover

Course names vary, but a complete Data Science program should take you through these stages in order:

  1. Python for data — variables, functions, NumPy and pandas for cleaning and analysing data
  2. Statistics and probability — distributions, sampling, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals
  3. SQL — querying, joining and aggregating data where it lives
  4. Exploratory data analysis and visualisation — finding patterns and telling a clear story with charts
  5. Machine learning — regression, classification, clustering, model evaluation and tuning
  6. Deep learning basics — neural networks, and an introduction to NLP and computer vision
  7. Generative AI — how large language models work, prompting and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
  8. Projects and deployment — end-to-end projects you can publish on GitHub and explain in interviews

If a syllabus jumps straight to "AI" without statistics, SQL and solid Python, be cautious — those fundamentals are what interviewers test first. You can compare this list with our full Data Science syllabus.

Classroom, online or hybrid?

All three can work. The right choice depends on how you learn best:

  • Classroom — fixed schedule, face-to-face doubt clearing and peers to learn with. Best if you need structure or live close to the centre.
  • Live online — the same instructor-led sessions from home. Best if you travel far or work shifts.
  • Hybrid — classroom when you can, online when you can't.

Avoid courses that are only pre-recorded videos if you are new to coding. Being able to ask questions and get feedback on your code speeds things up enormously.

How much does a Data Science course cost in Hyderabad?

Fees in Hyderabad vary widely depending on duration, format and what is included. Rather than comparing the price alone, compare what you get for it: hours of live instruction, the number of real projects, interview preparation, access to recordings and doubt support.

At The Data School, the course fee for each program — including Data Science — is ₹30,000, the same for classroom, online and hybrid. See the full breakdown on our course fees page.

A 7-point checklist to compare institutes

Use these questions with any institute you are considering:

  1. Can I see the full syllabus, module by module? Vague one-line lists are a warning sign.
  2. How much of the course is hands-on? Ask how many projects you will build and whether they use real datasets.
  3. Who teaches, and can I attend a class first? A free demo class lets you judge the teaching style yourself.
  4. What does the fee include? Projects, interview preparation, recordings, doubt sessions — get it in writing.
  5. What happens if I miss a class? Check for recordings or catch-up sessions.
  6. What career support is actually provided? Look for specifics such as mock interviews and portfolio reviews. Be wary of "guaranteed job" promises — no institute can honestly guarantee a job.
  7. What do real learners say? Read recent reviews on Google, not just testimonials on the website.

How to prepare before you join

You will get far more out of any course if you start a little early:

  • Install Python (or use Google Colab) and complete a short beginner tutorial — our free Python for Data reference is a good place to start
  • Refresh school-level maths: percentages, averages and basic algebra
  • Read our step-by-step Data Science guide to see the whole workflow
  • Decide your weekly schedule and protect that time

Next step

The best way to choose is to sit in a class. Book a free demo class at our KPHB, Kukatpally centre or online, ask your questions, and decide with confidence.
