Generative AI vs Agentic AI vs Machine Learning

Machine learning is about training models that learn patterns from data — predicting churn, detecting fraud, recognising images. Generative AI uses large language models to create text, code and answers, and RAG grounds those answers in your own documents. Agentic AI goes one step further: the model plans steps, calls tools and APIs, and completes multi-step tasks.
